Xplore Selects CommScope to Deploy High-Speed Fiber Broadband in Rural Ontario

CommScope (NASDAQ: COMM), a global leader in network connectivity, announced today a collaboration with Xplore Inc. to bring new rural broadband services to Ontario, Canada. Xplore, the largest rural-focused broadband service provider in Canada, will connect more than 35,000 homes and businesses to fiber internet as part of the Government of Ontario’s Accelerated High-Speed Internet Program (AHSIP).

CommScope® Professional Services will be providing both design and permitting services for the new network, in addition to working closely with Xplore to source networking solutions.

With Xplore fiber internet, residents and businesses in rural communities across eastern, central, and southwestern Ontario will be able to enjoy gigabit-speed streaming and downloads, enhanced video calls and online experiences, and improved access to telemedicine services.
